This is one of the official issues of the Approved silver and gold currencies (AOCS) of North America. Founded with the aim of replacing the American dollar as the dominant currency system and implementing silver as money, it has grown in importance over the last number of years.
Dixie Dollar is privately-minted .999 fine silver currency for the purpose of enabling the Southern people to establish a sound monetary system free of the international banking cartels.
AOCS’ members claim that the American dollar is a mortgage on wealth that does not exist. Therefore it needs to be replaced by a proper currency system that protects wealth, as those based in silver and gold do.
AOCS have seen an incredible growth in use and popularity over the last years due to the financial and economic crisis. |

|
This coin from the Lugansk region (also known as Luhansk) commemorates the 50th anniversary of the creation of the greater Donbass region (or Donbasskiy Kray). The Donbass region combines three oblasts (provinces or regions) in the east of Ukraine: easternmost part of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, northern and central part of Donetsk Oblast and southern part of Lugansk Oblast.
Donbass is economically, historically and culturally regarded as a supranational region, as it also consists of a part of neighbouring Rostov Oblast in Russia, although this conceptual extension of the region to include the Russian section of it has been somehow abandoned after the collapse of the Soviet Union.
Many inhabitants of Donbass have a strong attachment to the region and see themselves first and foremost as Donbassers.

Klef Raraha, meaning Citrus Reef in English, is operated as a citrus plantation that is now owned by the islanders who number 465 at the latest census. The local population speaks Papiamentu and English. Klef Raraha was once owned by a family of Portuguese origins (the Lopes family). The family operated the island as well as a number of other investments, however the present generation did not desire to live on the island. Since the cost to upkeep the island was rising and citrus prices were not the best, the family opted to sell Klef Raraha. For a few years, in the late 1990s, the island was for sale, marketed as a tourist destination at a very high price, but no takers came forward. Finally, the island was offered to the workers at a much reduced price, thought to be in the neighbourhood of 25 million dollars. |

Kurdistan is an extensive area in the Middle East, inhabited mainly by Kurds. It covers large parts of eastern Turkey, northern Iraq, northwestern Iran and smaller parts of northern Syria and Armenia. Although the Kurds claim to be a clearly defined nation, they have not achieved international recognition as such. In spite of this, they have issued their own coinage to promote their political claims.
