Jesolo is a town of 24,000 inhabitants in the north of Venice, between Eraclea and Cavallino-Treporti. A lot of archaeological remains point to the fact that Jesolum was once a very important Roman site and, between the fall of the Roman Empire and the birth of Venice, it became a very flourishing harbour of the lagoonal Confederation. Now, Jesolo is a top destination for tourists, who come to the town to enjoy its magnificent beach and fine weather.
