Leiden is a city in the province of South Holland in the Netherlands and has 118,000 inhabitants. The government of Leiden produced a set of 5 different coins to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the famous Dutch painter Rembrandt. These coins were legal tender coinage during 2006 and where widely used in the city.
